The Gloucester Arts Festival invites you to experience up close and personal the beauty and craftsmanship of Gloucester County’s talented artists during the Heart of the River Open Studio Tour. Visit studios, enjoy meeting the artists, and gain insight into their vision and techniques. Painters, potters, sculptors, and a boot maker are among the varied and exciting types of media that awaits.
The artists will have work for sale, some will have special guests, others will be doing demonstrations, all are looking forward to welcoming you! Gloucester County in the summertime is sunny country roads, stunning marshes, beautiful shore lines and friendly businesses and restaurants. Come visit!
This self-guided tour is free. Plan your course across the county with the help of our Studio Map/Directory, (available to download from this site at a later date). Maps will also be available at various locations to be announced later.

CAROLYN THOMPSON DUDLEY Carolyn has returned to studio work, where her artwork comes from her perception of the landscape and the people around her. BILL FULTON Painter, Potter, and Graphic Designer, Bill’s love of art propelled him toward a BFA degree in Communications and Design at VCU which enabled him to work as a graphics designer for most of his career.
